[Asia Economy Reporter Han Seung-gon] On the 15th, 15 new cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) were confirmed in Jeju in a single day. This is the highest number since the first COVID-19 case was reported on February 21.
According to Jeju quarantine authorities on the 16th, 15 new confirmed cases (numbers 128 to 142) were reported on the 15th, and by early morning on the 16th, four more patients (numbers 143 to 146) were added, bringing the total to 19 confirmed cases by 10 a.m. As a result, the cumulative number of confirmed cases in the province reached 146.
Confirmed cases 135 to 139 were all identified as students of a high school. Accordingly, all second-year students and staff members of the high school underwent testing. Testing for first-year students is also planned.
