Two Confirmed COVID-19 Cases at Hwasun Nursing Hospital... Jeonnam Cases 484 and 485
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Young-gyun] On the 15th, two COVID-19 cases were confirmed at a nursing hospital in Hwasun, Jeollanam-do, which was under cohort isolation.
According to Hwasun County on the 16th, the two confirmed cases initially tested negative in the first mass test conducted on the 12th related to a confirmed case among workers in the same ward, but were finally confirmed positive in the second mass test for cohort isolation subjects conducted every three days.
The confirmed case classified as Jeonnam No. 484 is a worker in the ward residing in Gwangju Metropolitan City, and Jeonnam No. 485 is a hospitalized patient with an address in Boseong County.
Both had no suspicious symptoms and were confirmed positive during isolation, so there were no external movements.
The county promptly isolated the confirmed cases and has requested bed allocation from Jeollanam-do.
Earlier, when a worker at the nursing hospital was confirmed positive (Jeonnam No. 479) on the 12th, the county conducted mass testing of hospital staff, and when an additional worker in the same ward was confirmed positive (Jeonnam No. 480) on the 13th, the ward was placed under cohort isolation until the 25th.
