Daekyo Hosts 'The World's Largest Bookstore' Pop-up Store in Seoul
Held at Seongsu Naknak in Seongsu-dong until February 20 next year

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] Daekyo announced on the 16th that it has opened the social contribution activity for spreading reading culture, "The Biggest Bookstore in the World (Segabang)" Seoul pop-up store, in collaboration with the Daekyo Cultural Foundation.
The "Segabang" Seoul pop-up store will be held at the lifestyle platform "Seongsu Naknak" located in Seongsu-dong until February 20th next year. It was prepared to provide opportunities for book industry and business expansion to neighborhood bookstores and related industry workers.
This pop-up store will be operated in compliance with essential quarantine rules such as limiting the maximum number of visitors, maintaining distance between visitors, wearing masks, and filling out electronic entry logs to ensure safe operation in accordance with social distancing measures.
Daekyo supports the exhibition and sale of books and content from over 40 neighborhood bookstores nationwide participating in this event. Additionally, it presents curated book content with a new theme every month.
This month’s theme is "I'm Fine Thank You and Book," introducing greeting letters and books sent from bookstore managers nationwide. Daekyo explained that various events will also be held, including the sale of neighborhood bookstore goods produced with Segabang support and programs created by book creators, such as the "My Bookstore Preference Test."

A Daekyo official said, "During the three-month operation of this Seoul pop-up store, visitors can enjoy meeting neighborhood bookstores from across the country in one place and purchase local bookstore content," adding, "You can also check information about participating neighborhood bookstores and receive book curation at the 'Segabang' online pop-up store, so we ask for your great interest."
