New 'Golf Board' Added to Mobile Home Screen
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Online fashion store Musinsa (CEO Manho Jo) is launching a golf section on its mobile home screen and strengthening the golf wear category.
The mobile golf section is a service that introduces golf wear brands and specialized styling information. It aims to be a fashion-focused golf edit shop that covers young golfers in their 20s and 30s as well as stylish traditional golfers aged 40 and above. The strategy is to differentiate itself as a two-way communication platform between golf enthusiasts and tenant brands, as well as a community service that satisfies the diverse needs of the expanding golf customer base.
The golf section consists of △ Golf Ranking, which shows popular golf wear products in real-time △ Styling, which introduces all golf coordination information based on Musinsa’s know-how △ Magazine, delivering news on new products from golf-related brands △ Recommended Brands for Musinsa members who are new to golf.
Currently, 15 brands have joined, ranging from established traditional golf brands with solid fan bases such as Jack Nicklaus and Castelbajac to emerging brands gaining attention among young golfers like Doubleflag, Clove, Jamie West, and Social Green Club.
With the opening of the golf section, inquiries from golf brands expecting platform preemption effects have surged, resulting in 14 additional brands confirming their entry. Including those under discussion, it is expected that about 60 brands will be available in the golf section by the first half of next year.
Going forward, Musinsa plans to actively expand the golf category starting with this golf section launch. They intend to strengthen golf wear services by utilizing fashion distribution and marketing infrastructure that covers online, SNS channels, outdoor advertising, and the fashion culture edit space Musinsa Terrace.
They also plan to showcase unique collaborations between various brands from street, casual, and global fashion categories as well as between different industries and golf wear brands. Additionally, they are actively considering investing in golf wear brands with growth potential through Musinsa Partners.
