Ford Korea Hosts 'Raenseon Grants Night'... Concludes Environmental Sponsorship Program
A Total of 7 Teams This Year, Up to 4 Million KRW Sponsorship
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Ford Sales Service Korea announced on the 15th that it will hold the "Ford Online Grants Night," concluding the Ford Environmental Sponsorship Program conducted in the second half of this year, from the 14th to the 20th. Ford Grants Night is an event where organizations and individuals who received support from the Ford Environmental Program that year present their results and impressions and share concerns about the future environment.
First launched in Korea in 2002, the Ford Environmental Sponsorship Program marks its 19th year this year. It is Ford's representative environmental social contribution program supporting individuals and organizations working to protect the domestic ecosystem and environment. To further enhance public interest and expertise, it has been co-hosted for the second year with the Environmental Foundation, Korea's first certified environmental foundation.
This year, due to the COVID-19 situation, the event is held online to ensure safety. Ford Korea will release videos showcasing each participating team's activities on its official Facebook and Instagram pages. An event will also be held to send messages of support to the team that carried out the most impressive environmental protection activities. Additionally, to add meaning to this environmental activity, among those who leave supportive comments, the best comment will be selected and awarded prizes such as keyrings made from discarded Ford car leather seats and eco-bags made from discarded airbags. The prizes were produced in collaboration with the upcycling brand CONTINUE.
The seven teams supported by this year's Ford Environmental Sponsorship Program are Green Korea United, Daegu Environmental Movement Federation, Deepda Jeju, Jang Hanna, Plastic Chain, NOFF, and Studio Onel. Each team received up to 4 million KRW in sponsorship funds and carried out various environment-related activities based on their local communities for about three months.
