View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] Former Dongyang University professor Jin Joong-kwon harshly criticized on the 14th that Im Eun-jung, Research Officer of the Inspection Policy at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor, Judicial Research and Training Institute Class 30), was included as a preliminary member of the disciplinary committee discussing whether to discipline Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol and the severity of the discipline, saying it "makes me nauseous."
Former professor Jin Joong-kwon made this claim by sharing a related article on his Facebook on the same day.
It has not been decided whether Research Officer Im will actually participate in the deliberation in place of a disciplinary committee member. According to the Prosecutor Disciplinary Act, if a member is unable to perform their duties due to unavoidable reasons, a preliminary member appointed by the chairman shall act on their behalf.
The disciplinary committee is supposed to be composed of seven members, but the first deliberation on the 10th proceeded with five members, excluding Chu Mi-ae, Minister of Justice and the disciplinary requester, and one external member who expressed their intention to be absent.
At that time, there was a discussion to fill the vacancy of one external member with Research Officer Im, but the disciplinary committee members judged it unnecessary because the quorum for resolution was met.
Subsequently, Shim Jae-cheol, Director of the Prosecutor's Office at the Ministry of Justice, also avoided the deliberation, so the second deliberation held on the 15th was composed of four disciplinary committee members from the start.
