Gwangjin-gu Installs Temporary Screening Centers at Junggok Comprehensive Health Center and Jayang Public Healing Center
Installed in high-traffic areas for convenient testing access for everyone
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Seon-gap) has set up two temporary screening clinics starting from the 15th to detect COVID-19 confirmed cases and asymptomatic carriers early, aiming to alleviate residents' anxiety and restore stability in the local community.
The temporary screening clinics have been established in Junggok-dong and Jayang-dong areas, where there is a high floating population, so that any resident can conveniently receive a COVID-19 test.
The Gwangjin-gu temporary screening clinics are located at Junggok Comprehensive Health Center (110 Gingeorang-ro, Junggok-dong) and Jayang Public Healing Center (17 Achasan-ro 24-gil, Jayang-dong).
The operation period is until January 3rd next year, during the metropolitan area’s Level 2.5 social distancing phase, and may change depending on the COVID-19 situation.
The operating hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and anyone can receive a free test regardless of the presence of COVID-19 symptoms or epidemiological links.

Kim Seon-gap, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “Last weekend, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases reached the 1,000s for the first time in 328 days since the first patient was reported, indicating that the signs of the third wave are unlikely to subside easily. We will do our utmost to install temporary screening clinics so that residents can get tested quickly and easily, and through this, detect cases with unknown infection routes and asymptomatic patients early to prevent the spread of COVID-19.”
