[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] The dropout rate in vocational training programs for out-of-school youth has significantly decreased compared to last year.
According to the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family on the 15th, the dropout rate of Naeil Irum School, which supports the economic independence and social advancement of out-of-school youth (ages 15-24), was 16.1% as of the end of November this year. This is a 9.5 percentage point decrease from 25.6% last year.
A ministry official explained, "The significant reduction in dropout rates is thanks to the careful management and support of trainees by assigning counselors to each training institution."
On this day, the ministry will hold a performance sharing meeting. The event will include watching videos of the training process, awarding and presenting excellent cases, and celebratory performances. For the first time this year, outstanding trainees will receive ministerial awards. One outstanding trainee who participated in the Digital Content Creator course is expected to receive an excellence award. The Korea Productivity Center Chairman's Award will be given to 10 outstanding trainees, 1 excellent institution, 5 outstanding workers, and 3 excellent partner institutions.
