Qualcomm Awards Research Scholarships to 20 STEM Graduate Student Teams
Doctoral and Master's Thesis Competition 'Innovation Fellowship Korea' Held
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Qualcomm Korea announced on the 14th that it held the 'Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship Korea 2020' online and awarded research scholarships to the 20 teams that were finally selected.
The Qualcomm Innovation Fellowship Korea 2020 is an academic paper competition program that provides research scholarships to students enrolled in regular master's and doctoral programs. It aims to encourage creative talents in science and engineering with potential to pursue independence and creativity in research activities and to produce outstanding results. Additionally, it provides a platform for knowledge exchange where Qualcomm Technology researchers share various ideas and paper topics and offer advice.
The selection process proceeded with the evaluation of papers by Qualcomm AI research judges, followed by a presentation event where selected participants gave presentations and participated in poster sessions, which were evaluated jointly by judges and participants. In evaluating the submitted research papers related to AI, machine learning, and autonomous driving, considerations included ▲innovation and creativity of ideas ▲understanding of research and experimental results ▲potential for further research.
