3 Additional COVID-19 Cases Confirmed in Gwangju...Total 811 Cases
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Three additional COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Gwangju.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 13th, following 8 confirmed cases earlier that day, 3 more cases were confirmed and registered as Gwangju cases 809 to 811.
Case 809 is related to Gwangju case 788, which was confirmed the previous day. The infection route of case 788 is still under investigation.
The infection route of case 810 has not been identified, while case 811 is related to Gwangju case 785. Case 785 is linked to Jeonbuk case 480.
Recently, in the Gwangju area, there have been 11 cases related to Jeonbuk case 480, 5 cases related to Jeonnam case 464, and 5 cases related to Gwangju case 788. Additionally, 86 cases are linked to Jeonnam National University Hospital, and 31 cases are related to a workplace sports club. At Gwangju Prison, 4 staff members and 19 inmates have tested positive.
Churches are also on high alert ahead of Christmas.
As a result of a full investigation of 118 people at Songha Gospel Church, where confirmed cases were found, 4 tested positive. At Dongyang Church, 161 people were tested, with 6 confirmed cases. Regarding Seorim Church Suwan Chapel, 91 people were tested, with 1 positive case.
