[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] On the 9th, the ‘2020 Love Kimchi Delivery Ceremony’ was held at Seoul National University of Science and Technology located in Gongneung-dong, Nowon-gu.
The event was organized to practice community love-sharing volunteer work despite the difficult situation caused by COVID-19. Only a minimal number of attendees, including the president of SeoulTech and the Minister of Education, participated, and Lee Eun-ju, a Seoul city council member from the local area, also attended to brighten the occasion.
According to Councilor Lee Eun-ju, the event was conducted simply while adhering to social distancing and quarantine rules due to COVID-19. It was made possible with active cooperation and support, such as ingredient support from Muan, Jeollanam-do. The kimchi, made with heart and sincerity, will be delivered to low-income families, elderly living alone, and child-headed households in the Gongneung-dong community of Nowon-gu.
