Gwangju City Launches Safe Notification Service for Arrival and Departure at Local Children's Centers
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 10th that it will launch a Safe Arrival and Departure Notification Service for children using local children's centers starting in 2021 to ensure their safe commute to and from the centers.
The Safe Arrival and Departure Notification Service for local children's centers is a service that manages attendance of children using the centers and sends real-time safety alert messages to guardians when children arrive at or leave the centers.
To provide this service, Gwangju City installed safety notification system equipment in all local children's centers within the jurisdiction last November, including 305 centers in total, even those not receiving basic operating expenses.
After a one-month pilot operation this month to ensure stable service, the city plans to officially provide the service starting January next year and will also support the usage fees for the Safe Arrival and Departure Notification Service.
