President Moon Declares '2050 Carbon Neutrality' Vision Today... Live TV Broadcast
[Asia Economy Reporter Son Sun-hee] President Moon Jae-in will declare the '2050 Korea Carbon Neutrality Vision' at 7:35 PM on the 10th at the Blue House. It will be broadcast live on TV.
Im Se-eun, deputy spokesperson of the Blue House, stated in a briefing that "the declaration contains a bold vision to overcome the climate crisis that has become part of everyday life and to turn the crisis into an opportunity to leap forward as a leading country."
Following the United Nations (UN) greenhouse gas reduction policies, major countries around the world, including the European Union (EU), have declared carbon neutrality. Deputy spokesperson Im said, "With President Moon's declaration of Korea's carbon neutrality vision, our country is proactively joining the international community's efforts."
During the live broadcast of the declaration, President Moon plans to wear a necktie made from eco-friendly fabric using recycled plastic waste.
