One Resident in Yeonggwang Tests Positive for COVID-19... Jeonnam Case No. 461
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seong-jeong] Jeollanam-do Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Kim Jun-seong) announced on the 10th that one resident in the area tested positive for COVID-19.
The confirmed case was found to have come into contact with a grandson who tested positive in Geumcheon-gu, Seoul, case number 153, during the process of making kimchi with family members living in Seoul and Damyang at the Yeonggwang home on the 4th.
Since the 7th, mild symptoms such as cough and sputum appeared, and after a phone call with the grandson, the individual voluntarily visited the public health center's screening clinic and tested positive for COVID-19, being classified as Jeonnam case number 461 (Yeonggwang case 9).
The county transferred the patient to Gangjin Medical Center the previous day and completed disinfection of the confirmed patient's residence and other areas.
Through epidemiological investigation, the movement path and exact contacts are being identified along with detailed routes, but so far, it has been confirmed that the individual stayed at home and interacted with the next-door neighbor.
Contacts were immediately notified of movement restrictions, and specimens were collected and sent to the Health and Environment Research Institute for testing.
