Changwon-si, "What Are the Key Hiring Criteria in Manufacturing Industry?"
74.8% of New Employees Earn an Average Salary Below 35 Million Won
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Changwon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 9th the results of five items, including "Factors Considered When Hiring Manufacturing Workers," surveyed in the "2019 Changwon City Economic Indicator Survey."
The city’s economic indicator survey was conducted in May targeting about 1,000 sample businesses located in the city, covering 40 items across five sectors: general business status, workforce status, management status, industry status and outlook, and voluntary items.
As a result of investigating the factors considered when hiring personnel at manufacturing companies in Changwon, "passion, challenge spirit, and personality" accounted for 49.1%, followed by "possibility of long-term employment" at 22.7%.
Next, the wage scale for new employees within three years of joining Changwon manufacturing companies was highest at 30.7% for "25 million KRW or more but less than 30 million KRW." Among these respondents, the textile, chemical, rubber, and non-metallic mineral industries accounted for 44.7%.
A survey was also conducted on the location types of businesses. Individual free locations accounted for 40.4%, and planned locations accounted for 59.6%.
The 2019 management status survey of manufacturing companies showed that sales amounted to 94.966 trillion KRW, an increase of 0.9% compared to the previous year.
Finally, regarding corporate support projects, financial support accounted for 74.6%, tax support 11.6%, and so on, showing results similar to the previous year.
