Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation Achieves ‘Excellent’ Public Institution Integrity Rating, Up One Level from Previous Year
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation announced on the 9th that it received a grade 2 in the '2020 Public Institution Integrity' assessment conducted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, and was selected as an 'Excellent Integrity Institution.'
Public institution integrity is evaluated by combining surveys from citizens and public officials who have directly experienced the work of public institutions and the incidence of corruption by institution.
The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission has measured and announced integrity annually since 2002 for central administrative agencies, local governments, education offices, and public-related organizations. This year, a total of 580 public institutions were included in the assessment.
Among them, the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation was highly evaluated for continuously promoting activities such as hosting a national ethics and human rights content contest, conducting integrity surveys targeting university students, and participating in public-private integrity councils. This year's selection as an excellent institution is also a result of improving by one grade compared to last year (grade 3).
Jung Kyun-young, Standing Auditor of the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation, said, "We were selected as an excellent integrity institution due to the employees' awareness and willingness to practice integrity," and added, "The Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation will continue to take the lead in fostering a culture of integrity in public institutions as a leading anti-corruption and integrity public enterprise."
