On the same day, Park said on MBC Radio's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus' program, "The People Power Party filed a filibuster request, so the Democratic Party submitted a request to convene a special session of the National Assembly on the 7th. Looking at the filibuster itself, since it is a delay tactic, after 24 hours, if three-fifths of the total members, that is 180 seats, are secured, the filibuster can be ended and the bill can be processed."
He continued, "If the opposition party files a filibuster for each bill, we have no choice but to open the session daily and process the bills. It is not easy for the opposition to prepare and file a filibuster for 24 hours. We will have to see how much they can do each day," he said.
Additionally, regarding the People Power Party's criticism calling it 'parliamentary dictatorship' and 'legislative dictatorship,' Park said, "It is necessary to state that the Democratic Party has followed the democratic and procedural processes."

He added, "According to the National Assembly Act, when the opposition requests a bill coordination committee and the Democratic Party accepts, a six-member committee is formed with three members from the ruling party and three from the opposition. If two-thirds or more of the committee members agree, the bill is approved. Since the bill was submitted through this democratic procedure with two-thirds approval, and procedural legitimacy was sufficiently maintained, expressions like 'parliamentary dictatorship' are inappropriate," he rebutted.
