The emergency patient A fell down steep stairs after spending the evening with village elders at the senior center and was urgently transported due to a right hip fracture.
With the help of the maritime police, A was transported to Mokpo Hanguk Hospital, where she is undergoing detailed examinations and treatment.
A Mokpo Maritime Police official said, “We will do our best to protect the precious lives of island residents in medical blind spots by promptly transporting emergency patients.”
