Lotte Unveils Two Signature Wines for the First Time... Available Simultaneously at Marts, Department Stores, Supermarkets, and Convenience Stores
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Lotte Mart announced on the 9th that it will introduce two types of Lotte Group's first signature wines, 'Trivento Reserve Limited Edition Malbec' and 'Cabernet Malbec.'
'Trivento Reserve Malbec' is a red wine made solely from Malbec (an Argentine grape variety), offering aromas of red berries, cherries, and strawberries. 'Trivento Reserve Cabernet Malbec' is a red wine blending Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec, which are popular among Koreans.
The production site is the Mendoza region of Argentina, ranked fifth in the world for wine production. It is considered an optimal location for wine production due to its distinct four seasons continental climate and high altitude. The wine name 'Trivento' refers to the three seasonal winds that converge in this region.
The price is 10,900 KRW, and Lotte Mart explained that the price was lowered by consolidating orders through Lotte's distribution affiliates. The same price is available at Lotte Department Store, Lotte Super, and 7-Eleven.
To commemorate the launch of 'Trivento' wine, Lotte Mart is offering a 'Charcoal Barbecue Wine Platter' that pairs well with the wine. It consists of pork ribs, smoked pork belly, premium sausages, and grilled vegetables, priced at 9,980 KRW.
Meanwhile, Lotte Mart has been actively expanding the wine market base recently. In June, it continuously introduced ultra-low-priced wines such as 'Real Fuente' at 3,900 KRW and Chilean wine 'Natua' at 4,900 KRW. As a result, wine sales from January to November this year increased by 51.7% compared to the same period last year.
