[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-ju] On Wednesday the 9th, a winter cold wave will arrive as morning temperatures drop below freezing in most parts of the country.
The Korea Meteorological Administration stated, "The morning low temperatures on this day will range from -10 to 2 degrees Celsius, and the daytime highs will be between 5 and 13 degrees Celsius." They added, "Inland central regions, eastern Jeonbuk, and inland Gyeongbuk will see morning temperatures fall below -5 degrees Celsius, and Gangwon Yeongseo will drop below -10 degrees Celsius, making it very cold."
From the night of this day until the morning of the 10th, rain or snow is expected in eastern Gyeonggi, southern Gangwon Yeongseo, and northern Chungnam. Precipitation is forecasted to be less than 5 mm.
Fine dust levels are expected to be good to moderate across all regions.
With dry weather warnings in effect for Gangwon Yeongdong and the Gyeongsang coastal areas, the atmosphere will be very dry, and many other areas will also experience dry conditions.
Morning low temperatures by region are forecasted as follows: △Seoul -3°C △Chuncheon -7°C △Gangneung 1°C △Daejeon -4°C △Cheongju -4°C △Daegu -3°C △Gwangju -1°C △Jeonju -4°C △Busan 1°C △Jeju 5°C △Ulleungdo and Dokdo 4°C.
Daytime high temperatures are expected to be: △Seoul 6°C △Chuncheon 5°C △Gangneung 10°C △Daejeon 8°C △Cheongju 7°C △Daegu 9°C △Gwangju 10°C △Jeonju 9°C △Busan 13°C △Jeju 11°C △Ulleungdo and Dokdo 10°C.
