Pharmicell Awarded '10 Million Dollar Export Tower' on the 57th Trade Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Pharmicell announced on the 8th that it received the ‘10 Million Dollar Export Tower’ award at the 57th Trade Day ceremony.
The ‘Trade Day’ awards ceremony, hosted by the Korea International Trade Association and organized by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, is an event held annually to select companies that have contributed to pioneering overseas markets and increasing exports, awarding the ‘Export Tower’ based on their achievements.
Pharmicell achieved export performance exceeding 10 million dollars through its mass production technology of ‘Nucleoside,’ the main raw material for COVID-19 diagnostic kits and RNA-based nucleic acid therapeutic new drugs.
A company official said, "This is the result of Pharmicell’s technology being steadily recognized in the global market," and added, "As a global company, we will continue to achieve export growth through research and development and increased production capacity."
Pharmicell has started expanding its factory with the goal of completion in the second half of next year to increase production capacity. By investing 10.6 billion KRW, it is expanding the production capacity of raw pharmaceutical materials such as Nucleoside and mPEG. Upon completion of the expansion, Pharmicell expects its annual raw pharmaceutical material sales to grow more than three times compared to this year.
