Hana Bank Introduces Open Banking Service in Overseas Remittance Specialized App 'Hana EZ'
Immediate Overseas Remittance Possible via Hana EZ App by Instantly Withdrawing from Other Bank Accounts
[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] Hana Bank announced on the 8th that it has introduced open banking services to its overseas remittance specialized application (app) 'Hana EZ,' enabling all overseas remittance procedures to be completed at once within the app.
Since July last year, Hana Bank has implemented Hana EZ, a differentiated overseas remittance service incorporating big data technology, AI algorithms, and artificial intelligence. To date, it has achieved 100,000 subscribers, a cumulative remittance amount of 360 million US dollars, and 300,000 cumulative remittance transactions, establishing itself as Hana Bank's representative overseas remittance app.
The introduction of the open banking service focuses on the increasing demand for contactless transactions. In addition to the existing ▲student-specialized remittance ▲estimated processing time prediction ▲real-time progress inquiry services, the open banking service has been added, allowing overseas remittances to be sent immediately not only from Hana Bank accounts but also from accounts at other banks.
Furthermore, an error remittance prevention service has been added, enabling customers to request corrections through the app without visiting a branch even if the recipient or account number is entered incorrectly, greatly enhancing customer convenience. Starting next month, the service will be expanded to allow remittances sent from overseas via Western Union to be received directly into accounts through the app without visiting a branch.
