View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Home&Shopping (CEO Kim Ok-chan) announced on the 8th that it held a 'Fair Trade Compliance Program (hereinafter CP) Proclamation Ceremony' at its headquarters in Magok-dong, Gangseo-gu.
The CP introduced by Home&Shopping is a compliance system and code of conduct operated to voluntarily comply with fair trade-related laws and regulations, and is an internal compliance system established and operated independently. CEO Kim Ok-chan directly manages it, and at the proclamation ceremony held on the day, Vice President Lee Won-seop was appointed as the compliance officer. The Compliance Office is exclusively handled by the External Cooperation Team, and team leaders from all departments serve as compliance officers. CEO Kim Ok-chan explained that the introduction of CP is part of efforts to take the lead in realizing consumer rights through coexistence and mutual growth with small and medium-sized enterprises.
Earlier, Home&Shopping launched the 2nd Ethics Committee in September to accelerate the establishment of a more ethical and transparent decision-making management environment for ethical management and compliance management. Since July, as part of activities to secure broadcasting reliability and reduce broadcasting review sanctions, they have newly introduced and are implementing ▲strengthened pre-review of high-risk products such as health foods ▲improvements to prevent errors in show host remarks through script review ▲quality assurance (QA) process for rental product technical documents ▲live review, etc. In addition, they operate internal and external communication and reporting channels to maintain transparent relationships with partners and to promote ethical awareness among internal employees.
