'Double Digits Again' 11 New COVID-19 Cases in Gwangju in One Day... Total 759 Cases
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Gwangju has risen again to double digits.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 8th, four additional confirmed cases were identified overnight, bringing the total to 11 cases in one day, including the seven previously announced.
This is the first time in six days since the 1st, when 10 cases were reported, that double-digit confirmed cases have occurred.
Of the four additional cases, three are local infections and one is an overseas entrant.
Cases 756 and 757 were both confirmed to be related to Chonnam National University Hospital. They tested positive during the pre-release quarantine test.
Case 758 is related to a golf gathering.

Case 759 is an overseas entrant who arrived from the Philippines and was immediately placed in facility quarantine at the Fire Academy dormitory upon arrival in Gwangju, with no movement reported, according to the city of Gwangju.
