Namwon-si, Korea's Representative Fruit Selection Contest 'Grape Category' Best Award
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Namwon City, Jeonbuk, announced on the 7th that at the Korea Representative Fruit Selection Contest held at the Sejong Government Complex on the 4th, the Heungbugol Grapes (Campbell) submitted by farmer Jibongok from Cheonggye-ri, Ayoung-myeon, won the only grand prize in the grape category.
Now in its 10th year, the Fruit Industry Expo is a festival where producers and consumers come together. The city has participated in the event over the years, continuously promoting the excellence of Namwon agricultural products and the integrated Namwon agricultural product brand ‘Chunhyang愛in,’ thereby raising awareness of agricultural products and contributing to increased income for fruit farmers.
Jibongok, who was selected for the grand prize, has been engaged in farming for over 40 years, managing a 2-hectare vineyard and apple orchard, generating an annual gross income of about 150 million won.
