Hyosung Donates 1 Billion Won in Year-End Neighborly Love Fundraising
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Hyosung today, on the 7th, donated 1 billion KRW in year-end neighbor love funds to the Community Chest of Korea located in Jung-gu, Seoul.
The donation, prepared jointly by five companies: Hyosung Corporation, Hyosung TNC Co., Ltd., Hyosung Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., Hyosung Advanced Materials Co., Ltd., and Hyosung Chemical Co., Ltd., will be used to support employment for vulnerable women, strengthen the self-reliance capabilities of socially vulnerable groups, and establish an economic foundation.
Hyosung Chairman Cho Hyun-joon said, "It has been a difficult year for everyone due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), but I hope that in the new year, this will help marginalized neighbors establish a warmer and more stable living foundation, even if just a little."

Meanwhile, under the social contribution vision of "Sharing Together," Hyosung is carrying out various social contribution activities. In February this year, it donated 500 million KRW and medical supplies to help overcome COVID-19, and in August, it contributed 300 million KRW to aid flood victims affected by heavy rains. It is leading efforts to discover disabled artists by sponsoring the 'Jamsil Creative Studio,' a creative space for disabled artists, and recently expanded its eco-friendly social contribution field by supporting the production of 'online ecological education content' produced by the Earth and People Foundation.
