Samsung Electronics Launches Smart Monitor in Korea... All-in-One for Video Viewing and Remote Work

[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Samsung Electronics will launch the premium smart monitors ‘M7 (32-inch, UHD)’ and ‘M5 (32-inch·27-inch, FHD)’ equipped with various smart features in the domestic market on the 7th.
This product is a new concept monitor that allows users to enjoy various content services without connecting to a PC by featuring the Smart Hub based on the Tizen OS, Samsung’s existing smart TV platform.
The monitor is equipped with numerous smart functions so that users can enjoy work, study, and various content viewing all at once with a single monitor. Samsung Smart Monitor supports internet access via wireless internet connection and various online video services (OTT) including Netflix, YouTube, Wavve, Prime Video, TVING, and Watcha. It also supports remote access functions for telecommuting and cloud service MS Office 365.
Samsung Smart Monitor provides a remote control with Bixby voice recognition for easy operation. Connectivity between the display and IT devices has also been greatly enhanced. In particular, it supports ▲ Samsung Wireless DeX, which allows smartphones to be used like a PC ▲ Mirroring function to view the smartphone screen on the monitor ▲ Tap View, which connects the smartphone screen immediately by just touching the monitor ▲ and for the first time in a monitor product, Apple AirPlay 2, further strengthening mobile connectivity.
Additionally, through the USB Type-C port, it supports up to 65W charging and 10Gbps data transfer, and it is equipped with various connectivity features such as USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 4.2, providing both versatility and convenience.
Samsung Smart Monitor offers an optimal viewing environment with features such as Adaptive Picture, which automatically adjusts brightness and color according to the surrounding indoor environment, and Eye Saver mode for eye protection, ensuring comfortable viewing even after long hours of use. Furthermore, it features a slim and sophisticated design with built-in 2-channel 5W speakers, enabling vivid content experience without the need for external speakers. The product prices are 550,000 KRW for the M7 32-inch, and 410,000 KRW and 350,000 KRW for the M5 32-inch and 27-inch models respectively, based on the suggested retail price. These products will be available for pre-order through Kakao Makers starting on the 7th, and can be purchased from online markets such as Samsung.com from the 28th.
