Russia Reports Over 29,000 New COVID-19 Cases in a Day, Setting New Record
[Asia Economy Reporter Seong Giho] In Russia, the number of new daily confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) exceeded 29,000, setting a new record once again on the 6th (local time).
The Russian government's COVID-19 influx and spread prevention headquarters announced that "in the past day, 29,039 new confirmed cases were reported across 85 regions nationwide, bringing the total confirmed cases to 2,460,770."
This is the first time since mid-last month that Russia's new COVID-19 cases have exceeded 29,000 amid a rapid spread.
The local new confirmed cases set a record of 28,782 the previous day, and with an additional 257 cases on this day, the record was broken again.
