Dongui University Department of Nursing, 'Nightingale Pledge' Non-Face-to-Face Nursing Medal Award Ceremony
The Department of Nursing at Dong-Eui University held the "25th Nursing Medal Award Ceremony" online on December 4th at 2 PM in Room 314 of the Dong-Eui University Industry-Academic Cooperation Building.

The event was conducted online due to the spread of COVID-19. Faculty members of the nursing department and two student representatives participated in video recording, and 106 students took the Nightingale Pledge via Zoom.
Encouraging remarks from Dong-Eui University President Han Su-hwan, congratulatory speeches from Lee Gap-nyeo, Director of Nursing at Dong-Eui Medical Center, and Kim Sun-mi, Head Nurse of Busan National University Hospital and Alumni Association President, were also delivered online.
Kim Myung-ja, head of the Department of Nursing, encouraged the students taking their first steps as nurses by saying, "I hope you become nurses who fulfill your responsibilities and calling, like the senior nurses who have been devoted and worked hard on the front lines of COVID-19 healthcare."

The Department of Nursing at Dong-Eui University was established in 1993 with an admission quota of 40 students, which increased to 110 students in 2012. In March last year, it received a "5-year accreditation for the Bachelor of Nursing program" in the second half of 2018 nursing education accreditation evaluation conducted by the Korean Accreditation Board of Nursing Education. The accreditation period is from June 13, 2019, to June 12, 2024.
