KT Supports Partner Companies Struggling Due to COVID-19 in Overseas Expansion
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] KT is providing opportunities to participate in famous overseas IT exhibitions through a new hybrid method combining online and offline formats to support partner companies struggling to develop overseas markets due to COVID-19.
From the 6th to the 10th, KT announced that it will support the participation of four excellent partner companies?Goryeo Otron (optical splitter, optical connector), Wooriro (quantum cryptography device, single photon detector), Inopia Tech (Invisible UHD STB), and Hoseong Technics (coaxial connector, coupler)?at 'GITEX 2020 (Dubai Information and Communication Exhibition 2020),' the largest IT exhibition in the Middle East held at the Dubai World Trade Center in the UAE (United Arab Emirates).
Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, GITEX 2020 is a massive exhibition visited annually by more than 4,000 companies and over 140,000 buyers. Considering COVID-19, this year’s event will feature both offline exhibitions and online consultations simultaneously.
KT prepared a hybrid support system combining online and offline formats by exhibiting partner companies’ excellent products physically at the exhibition site and connecting export consultations online via video calls between Korea and Dubai. For local buyers, KT also prepared professional export interpreters and Arabic brochures to help partner companies discover practical export opportunities.
So far, KT has continuously supported participation in overseas exhibitions since 2013 to help Korea’s strong small and medium-sized telecommunications companies enter the global market, strengthening partner companies’ overseas market strategies over many years. As a result, KT was honored as the Best Honorary Company for six consecutive years in the Win-Win Growth Index evaluation announced by the Win-Win Growth Committee.
