Mass Infection Outbreak at a Pub in Yuseong-gu on the 23rd of Last Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Ju-hyung] A Daejeon College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) supervisor who tested positive for COVID-19 the day before the exam was confirmed to have visited a pub in Yuseong-gu where a cluster infection had previously occurred.
On the 4th, Daejeon City announced that the CSAT supervisor (Daejeon No. 512) and a fellow teacher (Daejeon No. 517), who were confirmed positive on the 2nd, had visited the pub in Yuseong-gu on the night of the 23rd of last month.
According to the epidemiological investigation, including these two individuals, a total of nine people were classified as confirmed cases related to this pub: the CSAT supervisor’s wife (Daejeon No. 518), two sons (Daejeon Nos. 513 and 529), mother (Daejeon No. 520), and younger sibling (Chungnam Taean No. 14).
Meanwhile, the pub in question was the site where the COVID-19 cluster infection broke out.
