Chonnam National University Hosts 'International Exchange Day' Festival for International Students
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Gwan-woo] Chonnam National University held a Harmony Festival for international students, providing an opportunity for them to foster friendship and exchange by learning about each other's cultures.
Chonnam National University announced on the 3rd that it held the 'International Exchange Day' event on the 25th of last month around the G&R HUB on the Gwangju campus, complying with quarantine rules such as pre-registration of participants and limiting entry by time slots.
International students and event participants experienced traditional crafts by making them firsthand through one-day experiential classes reflecting the characteristics of various countries at the experience zone, thereby experiencing traditional cultures from around the world.
At the exchange zone, participants were given goodie bags containing candies and snacks from various countries to commemorate International Exchange Day.
The Chonnam National University Women Professors' Association collected winter clothing and various daily necessities donated by university members and provided them, based on which a bazaar for international students was held.
The proceeds from the bazaar will be used as scholarships for international students in the future.

Moon Ki-seok, Director of the International Cooperation Headquarters at Chonnam National University, said, "It was an opportunity for international students from different cultures and sentiments to understand and harmonize with each other," adding, "With the end of COVID-19, I hope that more university members and local residents can participate next year."
