SK Magic Appoints Yoon Yo-seop as New CEO
New CEO Yoon with Diverse Experience in Finance and Business Strategy "Will Strengthen Global Business"
Promotion of Director Lee Won-hee and Total of 7 Executive Appointments Made
[Asia Economy Reporter Heeyoon Kim] SK Magic announced on the 3rd that it has appointed Yoon Yosub, Head of the Management Strategy Division (CFO), as the new CEO.
The new CEO Yoon was born in 1969 and graduated from Yonsei University with a degree in Business Administration. He earned a master's degree in Finance from Michigan State University in the United States and joined SunKyung, the predecessor of SK Networks, in 1994. He is a financial expert who has served as head of the International Finance Team, Finance Team, and Finance Office at SK Networks. He joined SK Magic in December last year and has been serving as the head of the Management Strategy Division. Yoon will assume the CEO position starting January 1 of next year.
An SK Magic official said, "Based on the young leadership of the new CEO, who has diverse experience in finance, financial planning, mergers and acquisitions, overseas sales, and brand integration strategy development, we intend to strengthen competitiveness and execution capabilities for future growth."
SK Magic also carried out executive personnel changes on the same day. Two executives were newly appointed, and Lee Wonhee, an expert in future growth business strategy, was promoted to head of the Product Strategy Office. Additionally, five existing executives were reassigned.
SK Magic is on the verge of reaching 1 trillion KRW in sales. Sales have more than doubled over the four years since SK Networks' acquisition. SK Magic plans to continue sustainable growth by further strengthening customer-centric management, social value creation, and eco-friendly management, which have been key focuses of the new CEO Yoon Yosub.
