People Power Party on the Arrest Warrant Request for Obstruction of Wolseong Nuclear Power Plant Audit: "Result of Prosecutors Fulfilling Their Duty"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] On the 2nd, the People Power Party stated that the prosecution's request for arrest warrants against officials from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy related to the Wolseong Unit 1 nuclear power plant is “the result of the prosecution properly fulfilling its duty in response to a serious breach of national order that ignored the audit rights guaranteed by the Constitution and attempted to obstruct the Board of Audit and Inspection’s audit.”
Yoon Hee-seok, spokesperson for the People Power Party, said in a verbal commentary on the same day, “Today’s warrant request is only the beginning.”
