[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters (Jeju) Reporter Park Chang-won] All 9 participants of the Jeju package tour named 'Escape from COVID-19 Jeju Outing' tested positive for COVID-19.
Jeju Special Self-Governing Province announced on the 2nd that all members of the group accompanying patient A from Seoul, who visited Jeju for 3 nights and 4 days from November 23 to 26, were confirmed to be COVID-19 positive.
According to Jeju Province, following the related history, 3 confirmed patients from Seoul tested positive sequentially on the 27th, 29th, and 30th of November, and the remaining 6 members of the group were additionally confirmed positive on December 2. The total number of people who went on the Jeju trip, including patient A, was 9.
Earlier, patient A was first confirmed positive after specimen collection at a screening clinic in Seoul on November 27. Subsequently, the accompanying group members were classified as contacts of patient A and tested positive on the 29th and 30th.

Jeju quarantine authorities completed detailed movement and contact investigations for patient A and the initially identified 3 confirmed patients. However, as the remaining 6 members were sequentially confirmed positive on the afternoon of the 2nd, an in-depth epidemiological investigation is underway to identify additional movements and contacts.
