UK Approves Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine for Use... World's First
[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] On the 2nd (local time), the UK government became the first in the world to approve the use of Pfizer's novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccine.
The UK government stated, "The government has accepted the recommendation from the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency to approve the use of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine," adding, "It will be available throughout the UK starting next week."
Earlier, the UK had pre-ordered 30 million doses of the vaccine from Pfizer in July.
