Jeonnam Police Implement Special Traffic Measures for College Scholastic Ability Test Preparation
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency announced on the 1st that it will deploy 293 personnel, including traffic police and riot squads, around 55 exam sites in Jeonnam on the morning of the 3rd to implement special traffic measures in support of the 2021 College Scholastic Ability Test.
This year, due to the continued spread of COVID-19, it is expected that more test-takers will use private vehicles. Therefore, the agency plans to designate the access roads around exam sites and main roads within a 2km radius as focused management zones.
Illegal parking and stopped vehicles will be monitored to facilitate smooth entry for vehicles carrying test-takers, who will be instructed to get off 200 meters before the exam site and proceed on foot to the entrance.
Additionally, to prepare for traffic congestion, rapid response teams will be stationed at major intersections in the city. In cases where arriving on time becomes difficult, patrol cars and police motorcycles will assist test-takers by providing transportation convenience.
