[Boseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Jeonnam Boseong-gun announced that starting from the 1st, it will distribute 600,000 KF94 masks free of charge to all residents, following the nationwide first "free flu vaccination for all residents" in a county-level area.
The distribution will take place from the 1st to the 8th, adhering to quarantine guidelines, with village officials and village chiefs working in pairs at each village hall. For those with mobility difficulties or the elderly, they will visit each household to deliver the masks directly.
This is the largest quantity in Jeonnam, providing 6 masks to general residents, 33 masks to vulnerable groups, 50 masks to preschool children and elementary, middle, and high school students, and 50 masks each to students residing in Boseong-gun but attending schools in other cities or counties, the same as local students.
The county established a mask distribution plan last summer as a preemptive measure to prevent the simultaneous spread of COVID-19 and influenza during winter and to protect residents' health, securing mask budgets in the main budget and supplementary budgets.
Boseong-gun has been proactively responding to the COVID-19 situation by conducting the nationwide first "free flu vaccination for all residents" since last September, and is making comprehensive efforts to block local transmission of COVID-19, including free mask distribution to all residents in February and free cotton mask distribution to all residents in March.
