Jangseong-gun Operates 'Direct Market for Agricultural Specialties' at Gwangju Shinsegae Department Store
[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Yoo Dooseok) announced on the 1st that it will operate a 'Direct Market for Agricultural Specialties' at Shinsegae Department Store in Gwangju from the 4th to the 13th.
This direct market was prepared to support local farmers who are facing difficulties such as a contraction in the consumer market and suspension of school meal ingredient deliveries due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation.
Twelve companies from the Jangseong area will participate in the market, showcasing a variety of 67 agricultural specialty items.
Visitors can find freshly harvested fruits carefully grown by farmers, such as apples, strawberries, persimmons, and pears, as well as processed foods like rice cakes, salted seafood, and Samchae pickles.
During the event, customers who purchase agricultural specialties will be given either 'Jangseong Apple Juice' or 'Jangseong Rice (600g)', with 50 of each available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The direct market will be held in the central hall on the first floor of Shinsegae Department Store Gwangju branch.
