Netflix's Korean Remake of 'Money Heist'

Netflix announced on the 1st that it will remake the original series "La Casa de Papel" as a Korean version. It is a crime thriller depicting crime experts printing money at the mint and escaping. It has been steadily popular since 2017. In particular, Season 4, released last April, was watched by 65 million people in the first four weeks.
The Korean version changes the setting to the Korean Peninsula and is styled as an unprecedented hostage robbery drama. ?lex Pina, the executive producer who created the universe of this work, said, "Korean content has captivated global viewers over the past few years through unique storytelling and culture," adding, "I am fascinated by the potential of the Korean version. The fact that the events unfold on the Korean Peninsula excites me as well."

The Korean version, consisting of twelve episodes, will be produced by BH Entertainment and Contents Jeum. The direction will be handled by producer Kim Hong-seon, known for dramas such as "The Guest," "Voice," and "Black," while the screenplay will be written by writer Ryu Yong-jae, known for "My Only One" and "Psychopath Diary."
