Gangnam-gu Reports 11 New COVID-19 Cases
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 30th, 11 new COVID-19 cases (numbers 507 to 517) were confirmed in Gangnam-gu.
Cases 508 and 513 were infected through contact with confirmed cases from other regions, while cases 510, 511, and 514 were in contact with previously confirmed Gangnam-gu residents. Case 515 tested positive at the Gangnam-gu Public Health Center on the same day after showing symptoms such as coughing.
Cases 507, 509, 512, 516, and 517 are students of an English tutoring academy located in Daechi-dong, where two confirmed cases were reported the previous day. Gangnam-gu is conducting a detailed epidemiological investigation to identify additional contacts.
Starting December 1, the quarantine authorities will maintain the current Level 2 social distancing in the metropolitan area but will strengthen quarantine measures for certain high-risk facilities.
