Gwangju Buk-gu to Implement Online Passport Issuance Reservation Service Starting December 1
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Moon In) announced on the 30th that it will implement the 'Online Passport Issuance Reservation Service' starting next month on the 1st.
This reservation service was prepared to establish an online reservation system in advance, considering the increased demand following the implementation of the next-generation electronic passport (in 2021) and to provide contactless civil service amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
After simple identity verification on the Buk-gu Office website, users can reserve their desired time slot from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and visit the district comprehensive civil service office, where they can receive service at a dedicated counter without waiting.
In particular, if applicants fill out the application form available on the website in advance before visiting, they can apply for passport issuance within 3 minutes.
