From Work to Orders via App... The Franchise Industry Becoming Smarter
Diversifying App Usage for Supporting Headquarters and Store Staff Tasks and Convenient Ordering
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] The range of tasks that can be done with a single smartphone app is steadily increasing. While various industries have already built services that enhance convenience through apps, the franchise industry is also actively utilizing apps in various areas such as supporting headquarters and store staff operations and facilitating convenient ordering.
According to the food service industry on the 28th, Woosik Corporation is helping the headquarters manage franchise stores by introducing a 'Supervisor Task Management Function' in its app service called FQMS (Franchise Quality Management System).
The 'Supervisor Task Management Function' is a system that allows supervisors to easily manage work schedules, including franchise store management, through the app. After registering a visit plan and conducting a store quality inspection, the visit results are automatically linked, enabling confirmation of task completion. This prevents task omissions and delays, and headquarters managers can grasp the overall progress of all supervisors' tasks.
Additionally, by adding a franchise opening and launch management function, it has become easier to check the progress status of each process from the franchise sales stage to opening.
Convenience store GS25 has built a smart work support app called 'Geunmujung25,' allowing overall convenience store tasks to be performed via a smartphone app. Through 'Geunmujung25,' tasks such as setting time-based work checklists, real-time handover note creation, automatic emergency notifications, and product expiration date management can be done through the app.
By utilizing the app, the existing work methods, which were conducted through verbal instructions and handwritten work logs, are digitized, and it is expected to play a significant role in improving work efficiency and optimizing the working environment.
More companies are also developing their own membership apps with various functions such as ordering for customer convenience beyond just employees. In the case of Paikdabang, they provide a main menu system and design that allows users to check stamps and mobile coupons (exchange vouchers, cash vouchers) at a glance and use them easily. They have also expanded the smart order service range, added mobile coupon reservation sending, and electronic receipt functions to offer customers a smarter consumption experience.
