Kim Ki-hyun "Why is the Democratic Party avoiding the state audit... Did Lee Nak-yeon talk nonsense?"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Kim Ki-hyun, a member of the People Power Party, questioned the Democratic Party of Korea's lukewarm attitude toward the state audit of Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, asking, "Why are you backing down? Did the ruling party leader say nonsense?"
On the 27th, Kim said on Facebook, "Why is the ruling party leader, who first proposed the state audit, now backing down and running away?"
He pointed this out as Lee, the party leader, ordered a review of the state audit on Prosecutor General Yoon, but members within the Democratic Party appeared to be withdrawing. Kim said, "Isn't the state audit card on Prosecutor General Yoon, launched by Leader Lee, something the ruling party should actively pursue?" and questioned, "Doesn't the Blue House and the ruling party have the responsibility to fully inform the public of Prosecutor General Yoon's serious crimes?"
He added, "There is a widespread rumor that Leader Lee's orders are not as effective as former Leader Lee Hae-chan's," and pointed out that regarding the recent dinner with the Foreign Minister attended by former Leader Lee Hae-chan, there are many remarks questioning whether the current Leader Lee was just a 'puppet' or a 'figurehead.'

Kim said, "If Leader Lee wants to prove that these rumors are groundless, she should not hide behind like someone in the Blue House but make the state audit happen," and added, "Since it is said that Leader Lee's intention is strong, I hope that a prompt state audit can be conducted through bipartisan agreement in this regular National Assembly session."
