View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kang Sharon] Changwon City in Gyeongnam announced that from the 26th to December 2nd, all public officials will be mobilized to strictly enforce compliance with the Level 1.5 enhanced quarantine measures at 12,828 hygiene establishments.
This is an intensified administrative measure to block the spread of infection under Level 1.5 before the escalation of the alert level, due to the continuous occurrence of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Changwon City recently.
The city will check whether the core quarantine rules and mandatory mask-wearing under Level 1.5 are being followed at key management facilities such as ▲entertainment bars, danran bars, hunting pochas ▲karaoke rooms ▲restaurants and cafes over 50㎡ (general restaurants, rest food establishments, bakeries), and general management facilities such as ▲bathhouses and study cafes.
Common quarantine rules include mandatory installation of electronic entry logs and management of visitor records, checking visitors for symptoms, mandatory mask-wearing, social distancing inside establishments, disinfection, and ventilation.
Additional core quarantine rules added under Level 1.5 include ▲for the three types of entertainment facilities (entertainment bars, danran bars, hunting pochas): no dancing and no moving between tables ▲karaoke rooms: limit of one person per 4㎡ of facility area, no food consumption ▲restaurants and cafes: same rules as Level 1, with mandatory application expanded to facilities over 50㎡ ▲bathhouses: limit of one person per 4㎡ of facility area, mandatory installation of electronic entry logs, and other core quarantine rules must be followed.
Violations of this administrative order will be met with zero tolerance; operators and managers will be fined up to 3 million KRW, and users will be fined 100,000 KRW. Recently, the city imposed a fine of 1.5 million KRW for violation of core quarantine rules after a confirmed case occurred at a danran bar.
