LG Household & Health Care, Female Executive in Her 30s Promoted to Director...Regular Executive Appointment

[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] LG Household & Health Care announced on the 26th that it held a board meeting and carried out the regular executive personnel appointments for 2021, consisting of a total of seven members.
The company explained that promotions were made considering performance-based principles and growth opportunities within the organization, focusing on appointing young entrepreneurs and talents with expertise and execution capabilities as new executives.
Lee Hyung-seok, Executive Director and Head of the Luxury Beauty Division, who is growing the business through the globalization of the luxury brand "Whoo" and nurturing next-generation luxury brands, was promoted to Vice President. Jang Ki-ryong, Managing Director, who supports accelerating the growth of domestic and overseas businesses and manages global human resources and talent development, was promoted to Executive Director.
Additionally, Gong Byung-dal, Managing Director in charge of logistics, who leads the advancement and innovation of domestic and international logistics systems; Yoo Young-bok, Managing Director and Head of the Beauty Creative Division, who contributed to the growth of luxury brands such as "Whoo" and "O Hui" through design differentiation; and Kim In-cheol, Managing Director overseeing cosmetics production, were appointed as new executives.
Among the five newly appointed executives, two female talents with global sensibility and expertise were included. Kang Yeon-hee, Managing Director and Head of the Color Cosmetics Research Institute, overseeing color cosmetics R&D in Korea and the United States, was appointed as an executive. Ji Hye-kyung, Managing Director and Head of the China Digital Business Division, a local female talent in her 30s who has led the China digital business for the past four years, was also appointed.
