Launch Ceremony of 100 Small and Strong Companies in Materials, Parts, and Equipment... 2021 Support Plan Announced

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Representatives of 100 promising small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in materials, parts, and equipment, selected through fierce competition with a ratio of 17 to 1 under national interest, gathered both online and offline.
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Park Young-sun, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry) announced on the 26th that the 'Promising SMEs 100 Launch Ceremony' was held at TIPS Hall in TIPS Town, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where representatives of the Promising SMEs 100 in materials, parts, and equipment and related organizations gathered.
The Promising SMEs 100 is a project focused on nurturing specialized SMEs in the materials, parts, and equipment sector to respond to the rapid changes in the global value chain. Following the first selection last year, an additional 46 companies were selected in the second round last October.
At the launch ceremony, selection certificates were awarded to the 46 companies selected in the second round, and achievements and growth strategies were shared mainly through case studies. Along with this, the 2021 support plans for technology development (R&D), investment, guarantees, and more to support the future growth of promising SMEs were announced.

Minister Park Young-sun of the Ministry said, "We will support the promising SMEs in materials, parts, and equipment, which represent Korea, both materially and spiritually so that they can lead technological independence and leap forward as global companies," adding, "The culture of companies voluntarily sharing achievements and growing together will be a valuable experience for the healthy development of our corporate ecosystem in the future, and the Ministry will actively support this."
