Beyond FAANG to BBIG... Mirae Asset Publishes Report on 'Investment Methods Embracing New Growth'
Mirae Asset Investment and Pension Center Publishes Investment and Pension Report No. 49
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Mirae Asset Investment and Pension Center recently published a report outlining investment methods in the 'BBIG' sectors?secondary batteries, bio, internet, and gaming?that have been gaining attention.
On the 26th, Mirae Asset Investment and Pension Center announced the release of Investment and Pension Report No. 49, titled "Beyond FAANG to BBIG - Investment Methods Embracing New Growth." The analysis suggests that in an era of structurally low interest rates and low growth with changing economic paradigms, BBIG should be utilized as an investment strategy.
They emphasized the importance of investing in sectors rather than broad indices. Given the forecast of low growth for South Korea, investing in sectors that follow a long-term upward trend rather than comprehensive stock indices can increase the potential for asset growth. In particular, BBIG was identified as a sector with high long-term growth potential.
However, diversification was also stressed as essential. While investment in high-tech stocks remains necessary, it is preferable to diversify across various growth sectors and regions rather than concentrating on a few growth stocks like Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix, and Google, known as 'FAANG.' They also advised paying attention to global megatrend-following assets with high potential for trend growth, such as aging populations, green industries, and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

He emphasized, "Expanding from individual growth stocks like FAANG to sector indices like BBIG and diversifying portfolios can achieve long-term asset growth by benefiting from megatrends."
