Jeonnam Fire Department Holds First 'Talent Pool Lecture Competition'
Fire Lieutenant Jeong Mi-kyung Awarded for Outstanding Performance
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Ma Jaeyoon) announced on the 25th that it held the "1st Jeonnam Fire School Instructor Pool Lecture Contest" on the 24th.
The "Instructor Pool Lecture Contest," held to mark the 4th anniversary of the opening of Jeonnam Fire School, was promoted to improve the teaching and lecture skills of instructors who teach at frontline fire stations, including training for newly appointed personnel and specialized training for current employees.
The contest featured eight participants in four fields (fire, rescue, emergency medical services, psychological counseling) competing in heated lecture battles, and was conducted with a minimized number of attendees due to COVID-19.
Fire Lieutenant Jeong Mikyung won the grand prize, Fire Sergeant Lee Hyunju of Haenam Fire Station won the excellence award, and Fire Lieutenant Kang Jiyoung of Muan Fire Station was selected for the encouragement award.
Before the contest began, a lecture by an invited external expert and a demonstration lecture by Gwak Moonhee, an emergency medical instructor from Jeonnam Fire School participating in the 38th Public HRD Contest hosted by the National Human Resources Development Institute, received great responses.
