Suncheon-si Reports 2 Additional COVID-19 Cases... Case No. 165
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City reported two additional confirmed cases early this morning, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 165, with 1,624 people currently in self-quarantine.
The 162nd confirmed case in Suncheon, diagnosed yesterday afternoon, is a resident of Jorye-dong and a coworker of the 159th confirmed case.
According to movement records, this person visited the Hamba Restaurant in front of the 2nd Gold Class Apartment construction site in Jorye-dong on the 18th and 20th.
The 163rd confirmed case, also a resident of Jorye-dong, had been in self-quarantine since the 11th and was confirmed positive in a test before release from quarantine; there are no movement records or contacts.
The 164th and 165th confirmed cases, diagnosed early this morning, are family members of the 162nd confirmed case.
The 165th confirmed case is a student at Suncheon Electronic High School. Suncheon City health authorities have been conducting comprehensive testing of all 319 students and staff since around 10 a.m.

Suncheon City stated, “With the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) just a week away, this is a time when everyone must unite to practice social distancing Level 2,” and urged citizens to “actively cooperate with quarantine activities so that our students can do their best until the end in a safe environment.”
